I was born and raised in South Africa. When I was 17 my parents made the monumental decision to immigrate to the United States. Our journey landed us in none other than Amarillo, Texas. I taught World Geography for six years and was named Teacher of the Year for Mansfield ISD. During my teaching career I was fortunate enough to be a founding member of the Texas Association of iTunes U project, a curation of digital resources for teachers to access and helps transform classroom learning. In 2013 I transitioned from the classroom to the Educational Technology department in Mansfield ISD. My primary focus is MacBook use for teachers as well as integrating the iPad devices into curriculum, as our district is a 1-1 device district.
